Christmas Shoebox Appeal update

Thanks to people’s generous response to the Duquesa Charitable Society of Saint George Christmas Shoebox Appeal, which aims to provide Christmas gifts for some 268 local underprivileged children, the charity has already 200 presents ready for the kids to receive on Three Kings, January 6.

That just leaves 68 left to provide, so if you’d like to make some child’s Christmas extra special this year we are looking for gifts for the following ages:
Girls – 13 year olds (14 gifts required), aged 14 (4 needed); Boys – 6 year olds (4 gifts required), 7 years (10), 8 years (4), 9 years (13), 10 years (1), 11 years (3), 13 years (8) and 14 years old (7 gifts required).

We’ll update this list regularly on the website and on our Facebook page so keep checking back to see what’s required. We would ask that those wishing to donate do so by January 2 latest so that the gifts can be sorted and given to Social Services for distribution in time for Three Kings.
